This image is from a series of images I shot in the mid 80s while visiting friends in France. The landscapes were taken from the top of the Arc de Triomphe and are scanned from print. lb

I love Paris. I don’t think I’ll ever get back there, but I felt right at home when I have spent time wandering its streets. It may be in part that I speak French fluently, but it’s more than that, much more than that. The city vibrates with life and death. It speaks to my very essence. Now that my cancer is quieting down some, I’ll finish a painting of La Place du Tertre I started a few years ago based on some drawings and photos I took when I was there in 1970. Thank you for following my blog, Leo. You are one of my most loyal followers.
:-) Your right Roger. It’s a great city. I don’t speak French well but I had good friends there to help me. Paris had a certain edginess and excitement that I haven’t found elsewhere. I had a great time there. Good memories. take care of yourself!
